The School Day

The school gates are open from 8:35 am each morning and registration is at 8:45am. If a pupil arrives after the gates are locked, they must report to the school office to sign in.

The children have a morning break, which are currently staggered, depending on the ages of the children. There are always at least 3 members of staff on duty. Free fruit is available for all Foundation and Key Stage 1 pupils and older pupils are allowed to bring in a healthy snack for breaktimes. We ask that foods containing nuts are not brought into school in order to protect those with allergies.

Due to our increasing numbers and the popularity of  our school lunches, we have a staggered lunchtime: Foundation Stage Pupils have lunch from 11:40am-12:40pm,Key Stage 1 pupils have lunch from 11:45am-12:45pm, Key Stage 2 pupils have lunch from 12.15pm-1.15pm. The school employs several lunchtime teachers to ensure that children have safe and happy lunchtimes.

The school gates reopen at 3:05pm, ready for school to finish at 3:15pm. The staff hand over the children to parents at 3:15pm from the classrooms. Please ensure that the school is advised if anyone different is collecting your child.

Our school is therefore open for a total of 32.5 hours per week (excluding clubs), as stipulated by the Department for Education.

After school clubs run on most days and children are collected from the hall via the Foundation Stage playground.
